Day 01: Tambo Quemado – Chungara – Parinacota – Jurasi – Tambo Quemado
We meet at the border or the border control in Chungara at 10:30 a.m. After our breakfast at the Lake Chungara viewpoint, we offer an optional 3-hour walking-tour for you to observe both Andean flora and fauna in the Cotacotani lagoons. Afterwards we visit the village of Parinacota and also have a picnic – lunch there. Our next stop is in Bofedal de las Cuevas where we do a 40-minute walk. During this walk you have the chance to see wild animals like Vicuñas and Vizcachas and get to know bofedales, the basis of the altiplanic ecosystem.
